Last time we caught up with Frank Cwilka we were tromping through his back yard and wondering where in the world he stores all this stuff… here we are 7 years later and we're happy to catch up with Frank again at Psycho Trail's new location in my old hometown of Lumberton NJ.

Located at the Village Green, home to the Burlington County Farm Fair for as long as I can remember and where my kids collected their Easter eggs every year, it's nice to see the township embrace our most favorite of holidays. From the ribbon cutting ceremony opening night where Mayor Mike Mansdoerfer cut the ribbon with a chainsaw to the township holiday party this coming Saturday October 23rd, followed by a meet and greet with the actors from Psycho Trail, it appears that Frank's partnership with the Lumberton Recreation Department is starting out successfully. (For details on this township party click here)

We'd stopped by a week or so before opening day while Frank and his crew were in construction and arriving Friday October 15th, we found that they had been very busy since then.

And what a bargain at $10 a person for 4 attractions!

We started off with Big Top Mayhem… their 3-D house. It was great to see them pull off all the effects we had heard about on our earlier visit. A job well done and a kudos out to Christina Lowery who was responsible for the artwork. Incorporating some higher tech aspects with good old fashioned 3-D effects and a few enthusiastic actors, it was a well done start.

Next to the Blood Thirsty Barons where we were greeted by one of the local hillbillies and her trusty whacking broom. The actor here shouldn't be missed, she did a wonderful job. We weren't surprised when we heard 2 young boys at the door behind us tell her that it was their second trip to the haunt and she was their favorite. Always a fan of hillbilly houses this was no exception and was a fun trip down to the bayou…

Next onto Toxicity and thru the graveyard and last but not least… Infected. Looking at the outside, we were amazed at the amount of twists and turns within. The maze is completely constructed of chain link fence and the addition of strobe lights makes the effect disorienting throughout and works to the actors' advantage.

Overall… a well done attraction in a good location for a great price. The actors were enthusiastic and with the smaller spaces they are working in, they are making the scares work from all angles, high and low. We wish the Psycho Trail team much success in these last few weeks and hope to see them back again next year with even more tricks up their sleeves. Stop out to see them… and give them our regards.
